Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Istanbul
Arrive at Ataturk airport in Istanbul and transfer to our hotel. Overnight: Istanbul
Day 2: Istanbul City Tour (B)
Breakfast at hotel and begin full day sightseeing tour of Istanbul. We’ll visit Topkapi Palace (harem section is optional), ancient Roman Hippodrome (center of the chariot races) and proceed to the Hagia Sophia, the Byzantine church which was converted to a mosque in 15th century. We will continue our Sultanahmet tour with the Blue Mosque and finally we will stop at Grand Covered Bazaar and will have free time to discover 4000 tiny shops in the passageways of the world’s largest covered bazaar. Overnight: Istanbul
Day 3: Gallipoli – Dardanelles – Canakkale (B, D)
Breakfast at hotel and departure for Canakkale. En route to Gallipoli, we will visit World War I battlefields, Anzac Cove, Chunuk Bair and Lone pine Cemetery. Then we will take the ferry across the Dardanelles Strait to Canakkale for overnight.
Overnight: Canakkale
Day 4: Troy – Pergamum – Kusadasi (B, D)
After breakfast we will drive to Troy, Homer’s legendary city in Iliad and Odyssey. Then continue to Pergamum, the ancient city of learning, arts and medicine. Tour ancient Asclepion and continue to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Kusadasi
Day 5: Ephesus & St. Mary’s House – Kusadasi (B, D)
After breakfast begin tour of glorious Greco-Roman ruins of Ephesus, one of the best preserved classical city of the Eastern Mediterranean dated back to 2000 years. Later we will drive to the hilltop where we visit the miraculously discovered Virgin Mary’s House. Afternoon free or join optional tours. Return hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Kusadasi
Day 6: Kusadasi – Pamukkale (B, D)
Today we will drive through the valleys to Pamukkale, ancient spa center and the unique natural site of white limestone terraces cascading down the mountain slope. Then we will visit the ‘Sacred City’ Hierapolis; it is a World Heritage Site. In the evening you will have time to relax and experience the thermal pool of our hotel. Overnight: Pamukkale
Day 7: Hierapolis – Marmaris (B, D)
Morning transfer to Southern Turkey, to the resort city of Marmaris, afternoon is free. Overnight: Marmaris
Day 8: Marmaris – Rhodes (B)
Morning transfer to port for hydrofil trip to Rhodes, Greece. Arrive and transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 9: Rhodes (B)
A day of leisure; you may visit Old Rhodes or take an Optional: tour to Lindos.
Day 10: Rhodes – Santorini (B)
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Santorini. Arrival and transfer to your hotel for overnight.
Day 11: Santorini (B)
A free day to visit one of the many villages of Santorini, perched on top of the volcano, or enjoy a sun-soaked afternoon on the beach. Overnight: Santorini
Day 12: Santorini – Mykonos (B)
Transfer to the pier for a hydrofoil or ferry ride to Mykonos. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the nightlife ofMykonos
Day 13: Mykonos (B)
Explore the many beaches of Mykonos and absorb the ambiance of this Cycladic Island during this day at leisure.
Day 14: Mykonos – Athens (B)
Morning is free. Take a hydrofoil to Piraeus. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel in Athens.
Day 15: Athens (B)
Tour Athens’ famed Acropolis with its breathtaking view and renowned Parthenon, followed by a visit to theAcropolis Museum. On your own, explore the Plaka with its open-air taverns and traditional shops.
Day 16: Athens – Return (B)
Our representative escorts you to the airport for your onward flight.
